The Digital Consumer Technology Handbook

The Digital Consumer Technology Handbook
The consumer electronics market has never been as awash with new consumer products as it has over the last couple of years. The devices that have emerged on the scene have led to major changes in the way consumers listen to music, access the Internet, communicate, watch videos, play games, take photos, operate their automobiles even live. Digital electronics has led to these leaps in product development, enabling easier exchange of media, cheaper consumer product information and more reliable products, consumer product information and convenient services. This handbook is a much-needed, comprehensive engineering guide to the dynamic world of today`s digital consumer electronics. It provides complete details on key enabling technologies, standards, delivery consumer product information and reception systems, products, appliances consumer product information and networking systems. Each chapter follows a logical progression from a general overview of each device, to market dynamics, to the core technologies consumer product information and components that make up that particular product. The book thoroughly covers all of the key digital consumer product categories: digital TV, digital audio, mobile communications devices, gaming consoles, DVD players, PCs consumer product information and peripherals, display devices, digital imaging devices, web terminals consumer product information and pads, PDAs consumer product information and other handhelds, screenphones/videophones, telematics devices, eBooks consumer product information and readers, consumer product information and many other current consumer product information and future products.?Surveys crucial engineering information for every digital consumer product category, including cell phones, digital TVs, digital cameras, PDAs consumer product information and many more the only reference available to do so?Has extremely broad market appeal to embedded systems professionals, including engineers, programmers, engineering managers, marketing consumer product information and sales personnel 1,000,000+ potential readers?Helps engineers consumer product information and managers make the correct design decisions based on real-world data Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Discrete Choice Theory of Product Differentiation

Discrete Choice Theory of Product Differentiation
Product differentiation - in quality, packaging, design, color, consumer product information and style - has an important impact on consumer choice. It also provides a rich source of data that has been largely unexplored because there has been no generally accepted way to model the information available. This important study shows that an understanding of product differentiation is crucial to understanding how modern market economies function consumer product information and that differentiated markets can be analyzed using discrete choice models of consumer behavior. It provides a valuable synthesis of existing, often highly technical work in both differentiated markets consumer product information and discrete choice models consumer product information and extends this work to establish a coherent theoretical underpinning for research in imperfect competition. The discrete choice approach provides an ideal framework for describing the demands for differentiated products consumer product information and can be used for studying most product differentiation models in the literature. By introducing extra dimensions of product heterogeneity, the framework also provides richer models of firm location consumer product information and product selection. Discrete Choice Theory of Product Differentiation introduces students consumer product information and researchers to the field, starting at the beginning consumer product information and moving through to frontier research. The first four chapters detail the consumer-theoretic foundations underlying choice probability systems (including an overview of the main models used in the psychological theory of choice), consumer product information and the next four chapters apply the probabilistic choice approach to oligopoly models of product differentiation, product selection, consumer product information and location choice. The final chapter suggests various extensions of the models presented as well as topics for furtherresearch. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
